In search of a pergola to make the most of your Nottinghamshire home? CB Carpets & Blinds provides a range of services to homeowners across the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area, including the design and installation of pergolas.
Some of the locations we cover include Beeston, Derby, Eastwood, Heanor, Hucknall, Ilkeston, Langley Mill, Nottingham, Ravenshead, Risley, Sandiacre, Stapleford, West Hallam and beyond.
Pergolas are an outdoor feature consisting of beams and lattices that intertwine together to create a solid structure. While pergolas are not designed to completely block the sun, they can create some shade, especially when combined with a canopy. This makes them perfect for extending the time spent outside in your garden when entertaining, or simply to make the most of the British weather.
As one of the most economical ways to add value to your home, pergolas also create a sense of zoning in your outdoor areas too. They are especially perfect to use above patio areas and will develop with your garden over time, especially if you choose to grow plants up them.
No two gardens are the same, so why should your pergola be? With pergolas, it’s essential the finished design truly compliments not just the outside space but your property as a whole. Plus, on a practical level, the construction must be able to withstand all weather conditions and allow for an adequate level of head clearance.
Whatever you have in mind for your pergola, we’ll not only build it but ensure we do so in a way that will give you the maximum level of enjoyment from your outdoor space for years to come.
Take a look at our material options below, and be sure to give us a call or drop us a message for a free quote if you have any questions.
When it comes to any outdoor construction, wood is normally the first material that pops into people’s minds. But, similar to how we’re now using aluminium for our windows, it’s also possible to have your pergola built using aluminium too.
Aluminium is a material that’s lightweight yet super strong. It also has a striking stylish edge that gives a contemporary look to any pergola. There is also less maintenance required with an aluminium pergola (i.e no occasional staining or painting) as aluminium is fade resistant.
Wooden pergolas offer a timeless design, and the material itself also remains cooler even in hot weather versus metal. While wooden pergolas can be installed in any outdoor space, they look fantastic if you have any existing wooden decking or furniture.
It’s possible to paint or stain a wooden pergola in any desired colour or finish. So whether you want your pergola to seamlessly blend into the fence or create a statement feature, it’s entirely up to you.

CB Blinds came and fitted some venetian blinds for me at my house in Stapleford. They were reasonably priced, friendly and their fitters cleaned up after themselves.
We’re having them back to fit some conservatory roof blinds next month.
