In search of your dream custom curtains in Nottinghamshire? CB Carpets & Blinds manufacturers and installs custom curtains across the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area including Beeston, Derby, Eastwood, Heanor, Hucknall, Ilkeston, Langley Mill, Nottingham, Ravenshead, Risley, Sandiacre, Stapleford, West Hallam and beyond.
Curtains offer a polished yet practical choice for any room. They come in an incredibly wide range of colours, fabrics, and designs. So whether you’re looking for luxury draping to add a finishing touch to your living room, or a pattern that’s packed with the personality we have a solution to suit your home.
An added benefit of curtains is the insulation they can provide, especially to north-facing rooms or older properties that are prone to droughts. The thicker material adds an additional barrier between the window glass and your home allowing the heat to stay in the room.
On the other side of the coin, we can also make blackout curtains that will prevent strong sunlight from making the room too warm in the summer, helping provide a better night’s sleep in the process. Blackout curtains can also block out invasive street lighting and are also ideal for shift workers too.
CB Carpets & Blinds is a family run business with over 20 years of experience. Custom curtains are one of our many specialisms. We look forward to creating a striking statement feature in your home.

When you’re looking to curate the interiors of your home, settling for what’s available off the shelf just won’t do. Curtains play a huge role in the look of a room, as they are one of the most visible aspects of the space. So instead of opting for a generic, cookie-cutter design, you can find in any store, why not have your curtains custom made by us instead?
As mentioned, we make curtains as well as installing them. For us, being involved in every step of the process is essential to guarantee the finished product will be of the highest quality.
As well as the curtain design, length, material and style, we’ll also ask you to choose a curtain pole material.
First up is aluminium curtain poles, which offer a contemporary solution to the look of your room. Aluminium curtain poles work especially well when paired against cool-toned fabrics or metallic style materials, though have a broad appeal overall. Likewise, if you have any silver metals in the room, such as a fireplace surround, door handles, light switches, etc., an aluminium curtain pole would complement your existing features.
There’s plenty of room to personalise aluminium curtain poles through the finials, which are the decorative ends found on either end of a curtain pole. It’s possible to find everything from glass, metal and even jewel designs for finials. We can certainly work with you to achieve your desired look, so be sure to let us know what you have in mind during your consultation.
Interiors that are more traditional or even rustic in nature may suit a wooden curtain pole. In particular, wooden curtain poles look stunning when paired with wooden floors or furniture as it helps tie the look together. Likewise, if you have wooden curtain poles elsewhere in your property, you may want to continue the theme throughout the rest of your home.
Similar to aluminium curtain poles, it’s also possible to choose from a selection of finials. Wooden finials can also complement any existing cabinetry in the room giving an elegant finish overall.
There is sometimes a weight limitation with wooden curtain poles, particularly when paired with extremely heavy curtains. However, we’ll always be able to advise you on all the available options based on your desired look.
CB Blinds came and fitted some venetian blinds for me at my house in Stapleford. They were reasonably priced, friendly and their fitters cleaned up after themselves.
We’re having them back to fit some conservatory roof blinds next month.
